This study aimed to explore the impact of strategic planning on institutional performance in the Services Office of the Social Security Fund in Ghat Al-Sha’al, through analyzing the components of strategic planning such as clarity of vision and mission, defining strategic objectives, and strategic analysis, and examining their effect on the quality of performance within the organization.
The study relied on data collected from 43 employees representing different administrative and functional levels, and used statistical analysis methods to measure the relationship between strategic planning variables and institutional performance.
The results showed a strong positive relationship between strategic planning and institutional performance. It was found that clarity of vision and mission, accurate goal setting, and the quality of strategic analysis significantly contribute to improving performance levels within the organization. The study also revealed some challenges in implementing plans and monitoring performance, indicating the need to strengthen follow-up and evaluation mechanisms.
The study emphasizes the importance of adopting an integrated strategic planning approach that combines these elements with improving implementation mechanisms and internal communication, to ensure effective and sustainable achievement of organizational goals. It also recommends investing in developing the capabilities of employees and managers in planning and monitoring, and linking incentives to achievements to enhance performance motivation.
These findings contribute to strengthening both theoretical and practical understanding of the importance of strategic planning as a key tool for improving institutional performance in the public sector.
