Peer Review Policy

Taj Al-Ma'rifa Journal

Principle of Peer Review

Taj Al-Ma'rifa Journal adopts a Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the quality of published research. In this process, the author's identity is concealed from the reviewer, and the reviewer's identity is concealed from the author, ensuring fairness and objectivity.

Objectives of Peer Review

  • Ensuring the originality of research and its compliance with scientific and academic standards.

  • Improving the quality of manuscripts through constructive scientific feedback.

  • Assisting the Editorial Board in making objective publication decisions.

  • Enhancing trust and credibility in the journal among researchers and readers.

Review Mechanism

  1. Initial Screening: The Editorial Board conducts an initial review to verify compliance with publication requirements and journal policies.

  2. Assignment to Reviewers: The manuscript is referred to at least two reviewers specializing in the research field.

  3. Review Reports: Reviewers submit their reports using an approved form covering: originality, clarity of methodology, quality of analysis, and significance of results.

  4. Final Decision: Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editorial Board makes one of the following decisions:

    • Acceptance for publication.

    • Acceptance subject to minor revisions.

    • Acceptance subject to major revisions and re-evaluation.

    • Rejection.

Reviewers' Obligations

  • Adhering to strict confidentiality and not using the research content for personal purposes.

  • Providing an objective assessment free from personal or intellectual bias.

  • Identifying any similarity with previously published works (detecting plagiarism or redundancy).

  • Adhering to the specified deadline for submitting the report.

Authors' Rights

  • Receiving clear and constructive scientific feedback to improve their research.

  • Ensuring the confidentiality of their identity during the review process.

  • The right to appeal the review decision within a specific timeframe (15 days).

Handling Discrepancies

  • If the two reviewers differ significantly in their recommendations, the research is referred to a third reviewer for adjudication.

  • The final decision remains with the Editorial Board after examining all reports.

Review Duration

  • The journal strives to complete the review process within a period ranging from 4 to 8 weeks from the date of receipt.

  • Authors are kept informed of the review process updates on a regular basis.
