Publication and Documentation Guidelines

Taj Al-Ma'rifa Journal Issued by the Higher Institute of Science and Technology – Tajoura

I. Publication Rules and Conditions

  1. Originality of Research: The research paper must be characterized by novelty and originality. It must provide a new scientific or applied contribution and must not have been previously published or submitted for publication to any other entity.

  2. Soundness of Methodology: Adherence to precise scientific research rules, ensuring the clarity of the methodology used.

  3. Language of Publication: The journal accepts research papers in Arabic, English, and French, provided that the language is sound and free from grammatical and spelling errors.

  4. Formatting:

    • Software: Microsoft Word.

    • Font Type: Times New Roman (for all languages).

    • Font Size: 14 for the main text, 14 (Bold) for main and sub-headings, and 12 for footnotes and tables.

    • Line Spacing: 1.15.

    • Page Setup: A4 size with margins of 2.5 cm on all sides.

    • Page Count: Not exceeding 30 pages and not less than 10 pages (including refrences and appendices).

  5. Abstract and Keywords:

    • The author must attach an abstract not exceeding (250 words) in both Arabic and English.

    • Accurate Keywords must be included for indexing purposes (Arabic/English).

  6. Personal Data and ORCID: The paper must include the authors' names, academic degrees, affiliations, and email addresses. Including an ORCID link for each researcher is strongly recommended.

  7. AI Policy: Authors must fully disclose the use of any Artificial Intelligence tools in the preparation of the research in accordance with the journal's declared policy. AI cannot be listed as an author.

  8. Plagiarism Check: All papers undergo electronic plagiarism checking. The general similarity index must not exceed 25%, and direct quotations from a single source must not exceed 5%.

II. Research Structure

The research paper must be organized in the following order:

  1. Title (Arabic/English).

  2. Author details (Arabic/English).

  3. Abstract and Keywords (Arabic/English).

  4. Followed by the standard scientific methodology structure (Introduction, Methodology, Results, etc.).

III. Financial Fees

  • Evaluation Fee: 100 LYD (non-refundable), paid upon submission.

  • Publication Fee (Single Author): 200 LYD (paid after final acceptance – Total: 300 LYD).

  • Publication Fee (Joint Research): 250 LYD (paid after final acceptance – Total: 350 LYD).

  • Extra Copies: 50 LYD for each additional hard copy.

IV. Documentation Rules (APA 7th Edition)

The journal adopts the documentation style of the American Psychological Association (APA) – 7th Edition.

1. In-text Citation:

  • (Author's Last Name, Year, p. Page Number).

    • Example: (Author, 2023, p. 15).

2. Reference List (at the end of the paper): References should be arranged alphabetically (Arabic references first, followed by foreign references).

  • Books:

    • Last Name, First Initial. (Year). Title of the book in italics. Publisher Name.

    • Example: Al-Shaibani, O. (2020). Fundamentals of Scientific Research. National Books House. (Note: Publication location is omitted in the 7th edition).

  • Journal Article:

    • Last Name, First Initial. (Year). Article title. Journal Name in italics, Volume(Issue), Page range. DOI link (if available).

    • Example: Ali, M. (2024). Modern Education Technologies. Taj Al-Ma'rifa Journal, 3(1), 45-60. https://doi.org/10.35778/xxx

  • Website:

    • Author or Agency Name. (Year, Month Day). Article title in italics. Site Name. URL.
