Rising Food Commodity Prices and Their Impact on Inflation in Libya

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the reality of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) utilized in higher institutes, from the perspective of employees at the Higher Institute of Sciences and Technology - Awlad Ali. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection to address the research objectives and questions. The study population comprised all (203) employees at the institute, from which a random sample of (50) individuals was selected.

The findings revealed that the institute's senior management recognizes the significance of maintaining robust ICT systems, noting that their application enhances work flexibility, alleviates work pressure, and reduces repetitive routine tasks. However, the results also indicated a weakness in networking between departments and divisions, alongside a lack of necessary funding for modernizing the technological infrastructure. The study recommended the necessity of strengthening and developing the infrastructure, leveraging the expert human capital within the institute to transfer technical knowledge to other staff members, and focusing on cost-effective technical solutions
