The research included the study of the consumer pattern of red meat in Sirte in October 2022, return the data obtained from the results of the questionnaires distributed to the study sample and consist of 100 families in the study area. The results showed the price of the commodity is the main factor influencing the consumption pattern of households, the percentage of those who believe that the price is influencing is about 86% of the total size of studied sample.
The research recommended the necessity of providing meat at prices commensurate with the consumers income by supporting production requirements and educating the consumer on the importance of diversity in consumption of alternative commodities for red meat, and also developing future plans to determine the regions needs for meat in order to reduce the gap between the quantity supplied and the quantity demanded required, which helps to reduce its prices.
